I love this. This approach can be applied in so many ways to so many "big" things. When I was training for Ironmans and Ultra events an 8 hour brick day of training consisting of 120 miles on the bike a followed by a 15 mile run would overwhelm me. I got through these days week after week by focusing on the 5 miles in front of me. I would tell myself that i just had to do 24 miles segments on the bike and 3 5 mile segments for my run. This kept the big picture in view but narrowed my focus to smaller attainable results.This approach naturally migrated to my leadership style and how we've approached long-range planning and large projects / initiatives at the club with board and committee members, members and employees. Keep the long term, big picture in view but break it down into attainable results that keep you and your team on track and realizing day to day progress along the way....#smallbites #leadership #richroll #purpose
