Main Tasks IncludeRemote Trauma RegistrarMaintains current accurate data within the trauma registry by collecting, entering, retrieving and reporting data related to all trauma patients. Abstracts appropriate data to provide documentation in support of George Washington University Hospital Level I designation by the District of Columbia and verification by the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 years related experience.
• Medical Billing/Coding knowledge required
• Previous experience with Collector Trauma Registry preferred.
• Completion of American Trauma Society Trauma Registrar course preferred
• Able to speak and write English Fluently
• Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrated ability to perform in at least one of the following areas chart review, performance improvement, medical record data abstraction, management of date entry and databases.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
