How do I submit my transcripts to GWU? ›

Requirements and method of submission by country

The transcript(s) must be sent in a sealed envelope or submitted electronically via Parchment to engineering@gwu.edu from the university directly.

This means the school is moderately selective. The school expects you to meet their requirements for GPA and SAT/ACT scores, but they're more flexible than other schools.

Grades will show up once all of the following conditions are met. Until then, students will see "GW" (Grade Withheld). Grades usually show up about 10 days after a block ends. The student has submitted the evaluation for that course. The professor has submitted grades for that course.

Official transcript should be submitted by your counselor. If the counselor submits online, the transcript should be attached to your school forms. Otherwise, transcripts should be sent directly to the schools to which you are applying. Please contact each admissions office for the exact address or procedure.

Is a 2.4 GPA Good? A 2.4 GPA signals to a college or university that a student has earned average scores within the B- and C+ range. A 2.4 is a hair away from the 2.5 range, which opens up eligibility for a number of colleges, but is still below the competitive benchmark for college applications of 3.0.

A 3.8 GPA, or Grade Point Average, is equivalent to an A- letter grade on a 4.0 GPA scale. This means is equivalent to a 90-92%. The national average GPA is 3.0 which means a 3.8 is far above average. Because a 3.8 is already so high it can be hard to raise, but with hard work and dedication it is possible!

With a GPA of 3.86, George Washington University requires you to be near the top of your class, and well above average. You'll need mostly A's, ideally with several AP or IB classes to help show your preparation at a college level.

P Pass No grade point credit. Applies only to nondevelopmental studies courses. Pass grades carry academic credit but are not included within GPA calculations.

A 1.8 GPA is below the typical requirements for most colleges, but some institutions may consider applicants with lower GPAs, especially those with holistic admissions processes or special admission programs for students who show potential for improvement.

The answer is No. The national average for a GPA is around 3.0 and a 2.4 GPA puts you below that average. A 2.4 GPA means that you've gotten only C-s and D+s in your high school classes so far. Since this GPA is significantly below a 2.0, it will make things very difficult for you in the college application process.

Most colleges/universities ask applicants to send transcripts directly to the campus and to Common Application portal. Make sure you carefully read and follow the application instructions for every separate campus you're applying to.

Office of the Registrar business is conducted in-person at the Student Services Hub, located on the Ground Floor of the University Student Center at 800 21^st St NW.

You will need to request official transcripts from all colleges you have attended be sent to EWU Admissions: 304 Sutton Hall, Cheney, WA 99004. If you are a transfer student with less than 40 transferrable credits you will be asked to submit official high school transcript.
